Samuele Catusian is a volunteer of ISF-Pisa, of which he is a co-founding member (since autumn 2003). His main technical interests in ISF activities are about the ICTs in developing scenarios, digital divide, poor and appropriate technologies, free/libre software, trashware, telecomunication infrastructures, wireless and wired networks, technology transfer.

Past

Among the various activities in ISF-Pisa, he coordinated the BoulSat Project participating in all of its phases (2005-2007). He also worked in some projects with other Italian ISF sections: Butembo Project (Pisa and Padova - 2004), Kinshasa Project (Florence - 2005), Kingasani Project (Florence, Pisa, Rome and Milan - 2007). He has been the president of ISF-Pisa between december 2006 and january 2009.

Present

In ISF-Pisa he is currently the treasurer of the association and he coordinates some of the ICT group activities, like the SaharaWi-fi Project. Furthermore he is still working on Burkina Faso helping in the build of a computer science laboratory in the northern town of Tougouri and, from time to time, helping the Anagrafe Project gals and guys.

On the national Italian ISF side, he is an active part of the National ICT Group, and, since the end of 2004, of the Italian ISF National Coordination Group. Lately he became the coordinator of the ICT task force running the national ISF Internet services, aiming to provide a decent national site soon.
